This document complies with the General Data Protection Regulation

At BIOCERAMED – Ceramics for Medical Applications SA (hereinafter Bioceramed SA) we understand the importance of maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of your personal data. For this reason, we are committed to the implementation and management of the personal data protection policies of natural persons in force in the European Union.


This privacy and data protection policy applies to the personal data of our Customers and Users of our Websites, who contact us via our websites, by email or by telephone, whether for placing orders. , to obtain information, to present complaints and/or suggestions.


We try to answer your questions in the points below.


1. Person responsible for processing personal data

2.Processing of personal data

At Bioceramed SA, we collect very limited personal data and our sole purpose is to maintain close and personalized contact with our customers, to let them know about our news and promotions and our new sales catalogues.


Bioceramed SA collects your personal data when you request clarification of a doubt, when you send a complaint or suggestion, when you place an order to purchase products.


3. Purposes, legal grounds and period of retention of personal data

The personal data we collect is intended for processing orders placed, establishing communication in response to requests for information, complaints or doubts, statistical analysis and also for communication/promotional/direct marketing purposes through any communication channel. .


Under the terms of the GDPR, the use of personal data must be justified under at least one of the legal grounds provided for by law (*). Depending on the personal data we collect, the means of collection and the purpose of the treatment, we may have several types of grounds, as shown below:

Purpose of processing: We collect your data so that we can comply with a purchase and sale contract or carry out pre-contractual steps at your request (registration on the website, budgeting, etc.). We may process your data to send you information about our products (direct marketing). We collect your data so that we can provide you with an after-sales and loyalty service (answering questions/suggestions, sending catalogs, etc.).


Customer and potential customer management

  Personal data collected: Name, profession, address, telephone number, email address and tax number.

Legal basis: Contractual relationship and Legitimate interest.

Data conservation: Up to 5 years after the establishment of the last contact or 10 years for archiving invoices, according to the tax law in force.

(*) The law provides, among others, for the following legal grounds for the processing of personal data:

· When you have given consent to the processing of your personal data (for these purposes, you will be presented with a consent form for the use of your data, which consent can be withdrawn later)


· When the treatment is necessary to enter into a contract with you or carry out its execution;


· When the treatment is necessary to fulfill the legal obligations to which Bioceramed SA is subject;


When processing is necessary to achieve a legitimate interest and our reasons for using it prevail over your data protection rights;


When processing is necessary for us to declare, exercise or defend a right in legal proceedings against you, us or a third party.


4. Rights of the holder of personal data

At any time, the data subject may request access to the information we have about him, the rectification of the information if it is incorrect or incomplete, the deletion or limitation of the processing of his data, in accordance with the legal limits. If the treatment depends on your consent and this is done by automated means, you have the right to send the data you have provided us, in a structured way, commonly used and in a computer-readable format. In accordance with legal limitations, you can object to the processing of your personal data.

The holder may be asked to prove their identity.

5. Data Subject Consent

When the processing of personal data collected depends on the consent of its holder (as mentioned in the table above), this must be free, express, unequivocal and informed.

Whenever new personal data is collected that has your consent as a legal basis, Bioceramed SA will request your express authorization, providing you with all the necessary information, namely, the purpose of the treatment, the period of time for which the personal data will be kept

and the rights that assist you.

The consent may, at any time, be withdrawn or changed, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the treatment carried out based on the previously given consent. For this you should contact us via email  and indicate that you wish to change or withdraw your consent. 


6. Legitimate Interest of the Controller

Bioceramed SA processes your personal data to carry out tasks related to our business activities. The RGPD understands that the processing of personal data for the purposes of direct marketing is a legitimate interest of the company, and the processing is considered legitimate. Direct marketing is understood, in the General Regulation on Data Protection, as any action by a company aimed at communicating advertising or marketing material, aimed at specific people. If you do not wish to receive marketing communications from us, you may, at any time, object to their treatment,

by contacting us by email.


7. Conservation of personal data 

Bioceramed SA retains all personal data for as long as the existing commercial relations between the company and the data subject remain in force. Unless consent is withdrawn, we retain personal data for up to five years after the date of termination of commercial relations or last contact made. We may keep your personal data for longer periods under pending legal obligations on the company. (See table presented in point 3)


8. Recipients / data transfer

Bioceramed SA does not assign or transfer your data to third parties, unless there is a legal obligation.


9. Protection and security of personal data

At Bioceramed SA, we use a variety of security measures to help protect and maintain the security, integrity and availability of your personal data.

Although the transmission of data via the internet or website cannot guarantee total security against intrusions, Bioceramed SA has made its best efforts to implement and maintain physical, electronic and procedural security measures aimed at protecting your personal data in accordance with the requirements applicable data protection rules.


10. Cookies

The website uses "cookies". A cookie is a small file of information that we send to the browser's cookie file, located on your computer's hard drive, via our Internet server. 13. Changes to the Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy 

All future changes to our Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy will be posted on the company's website. For this reason, we recommend that you consult the document whenever you visit our website.
