TriOSS® in Dental Bone Regeneration: Twelve-Month Clinical Results
TriOSS® is a synthetic, resorbable beta-tricalcium phosphate bone substitute manufactured by Bioceramed in Portugal. This clinical evidence summary presents the twelve-month interim results of a prospective, single-centre, single-arm observational study conducted at Egas Moniz School of Health and Science under Dr. João Botelho.
Eighty adult patients undergoing dental reconstructive surgery were enrolled, predominantly for alveolar ridge preservation. Bone consolidation was assessed radiographically, alongside adverse events, device deficiencies, clinician usability, and patient-reported oral health measured with the OHIP-14.
Bone consolidation was confirmed in every patient evaluated at both the six-month and twelve-month visits. No adverse events were recorded at any assessment point across the first twelve months. Oral health-related quality of life improved significantly and the improvement was sustained at one year.
