Neocement® Clinical Case 2

Diagnosis and Case Description

Patient:

Male crushing tibial plateau fracture

Surgical procedure:

Fracture reduction and osteosynthesis with cannulated bone screw and washer. External meniscus suture.

Follow-up 1-2 months after surgery:

  • Implant radiopacity confirmed
  • Low implant resorption was reported

Follow-up 4-6 months after surgery:

  • New bone formation was reported
  • The patient was submitted to another surgery to remove the osteosynthesis material

Follow-up ≥ 1 year after surgery

  • Outstanding progress. BA: 0°, 125°
  • Stable knee with good mobility and adequate muscular power
  • It was observed a significant growth of new bone and fracture consolidation
